This project was for the rehabilitation of six floors (plus work on two support floors) for GSA tenant agencies: US Army Corps of Engineers (Phase 1), the New York Field Office of the FBI (Phase 2), and the Department of Health and Human Services (Phase 3). The scope of work included demolition, ACM and LBP abatement, new SFRM, extensive mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing upgrades, BMS upgrades, structural steel reinforcement, new millwork, elevator upgrades, a new interior storefront, new low voltage AV, IT and security work, a new emergency generator plant, and new finishes of all types. 

Volmar was named as the general contractor on this multiphase interior renovation project at 26 Federal Plaza, NY, NY by the GSA in April 2018. The Backfill project involved the phased gut renovation of floors 16-21 at 26 Federal Plaza for the GSA and several tenant agencies. It also included the construction of new emergency generator infrastructure on the 42nd and 44th floor of the building. The scope of work included all construction trade disciplines. such as demolition and ACM. Additional work issued to Volmar during construction included audio visual, security and IT work on the individual floors.
